Abstract

The importance of scientific education in today’s world of continuous challenges is highlighted – from military to pandemic and digital ones. It is emphasized that the potential of globalization creates unprecedented opportunities for access to quality knowledge and international cooperation. This, in turn, requires the modernization of educational systems and strengthening their adaptability in responding to such challenges as the deterioration of emotional well-being and the traumatic experiences of learners; the interruption of the educational process due to damaged infrastructure, internal displacement, digital inequality, and knowledge gaps caused by breaks in learning. Special attention is paid to the negative impact of social networks, including such manifestations as information overload, disinformation, online security threats, adverse effects on behavior, and loss of learners’ attention. The listed educational challenges are analyzed, and effective ways of responding to them are considered.
