Abstract

The article analyses the transformation of the modern system of vocational education under the influence of artificial intelligence (AI), digital platforms, and personalized learning pathways. The purpose of the study is to justify a holistic and pedagogically balanced approach to integrating these technologies into vocational training. It is shown that learners who develop within a hyper-stimulated digital environment require updates to traditional teaching and assessment methods. The study demonstrates that adaptive learning pathways, systematic data analytics, and the use of AI tools significantly enhance the quality of education by ensuring individualization and alignment with contemporary psychological and pedagogical principles. The research identifies the need to shift the focus of vocational education from mere knowledge accumulation to the development of critical, creative, and systemic thinking. The role of AI as an instrument for cultivating digital culture and supporting educational decision-making is emphasized. The importance of scientific and methodological support provided by the Institute of Vocational Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine is substantiated, particularly in fostering learner motivation, ensuring fair assessment, and modernizing educational practices. At the same time, key challenges are outlined—including academic integrity, digital inequality, and the need to prepare teachers for working with AI. Directions for further research and the development of a national program for enhancing teachers’ digital competencies are proposed. The study concludes that AI creates opportunities for building a competence-oriented, adaptive, and personalized model of vocational education, which is crucial for Ukraine’s recovery.
