Abstract

The current stage of society's development is characterised by rapid growth in the volume of information and increased demands for its rapid and reliable transmission. In these conditions, the telecommunications industry is becoming one of the key components of the digital economy infrastructure, and information switching and distribution systems are a basic element that ensures effective interaction between users, information resources and technical means. The study of the discipline "Information Switching and Distribution Systems" is aimed at providing students with fundamental knowledge about the principles of construction, functioning and development of switching systems, as well as modern methods of routing and distribution of information flows in various transmission environments. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of architectural solutions, digital switching technologies, packet and optical transmission, as well as the integration of telecommunications systems into global information networks. The methodological guide aims not only to provide theoretical information, but also to promote the practical acquisition of skills by students in solving typical engineering problems in the field of telecommunications. To this end, the guide includes examples, tasks for independent work, as well as methodological recommendations for practical and laboratory classes. It is intended for scientists and practitioners, teachers and students of institutions of higher education, vocational and higher education.
