Abstract
The article is devoted to the development of a teaching manual aimed at overcoming difficulties in the acquisition and use of vocabulary and coherent speech in younger school-age children with special speech needs. The necessity of creating such a manual is substantiated, highlighting its role as an effective didactic tool that supports the development of receptive (impressive) and expressive vocabulary, clarification of lexical meanings, expansion of semantic fields, and activation of speech activity. The methodological principles underlying the manual are outlined: gradual increase in task complexity, the use of activities that stimulate different channels of information perception, the inclusion of a fictional character as a motivational element, and the integration of lexical work with tasks for forming and developing coherent speech. The proposed manual is designed to enhance children’s speech competence, develop communicative initiative, and foster the ability to produce sequential, coherent utterances.
