Abstract
The theses highlight the problem of psychological support and assistance to victims during the war. The importance of this topic is revealed, because the issue of studying the problem of psychological support and assistance to victims during the war has become relevant as a vital work of specialists of various services, in particular psychological ones, in connection with preserving the health of people who find themselves in unpredictable extreme circumstances. The concepts of “psychological first aid” (PPD), “post-traumatic stress disorder” (PTSD) are revealed, it is emphasized that a person who has experienced a traumatic event needs timely provision of high-quality psychological assistance. The main signs that determine the presence of post-traumatic stress disorder in adults are identified, in particular: influxes of intrusive memories of life-threatening situations in which the person was a participant; traumatic dreams with nightmarish scenes of experienced events, sleep disturbances; the desire to avoid emotional stress; insecurity due to fear, and as a result - postponement of decision-making, lack of contact with others; excessive fatigue, irritability, depressive states, headaches, inability to concentrate on something, etc.
