Abstract
The article examines the possibilities of using didactic fairy tales as a means of teaching mathematics to children with intellectual disabilities. The psychological and pedagogical conditions for the effective application of fairy-tale plots in corrective and developmental education are identified, and examples of integrating mathematical content into the fairy-tale narrative are presented. The significance of this method for enhancing motivation to learn and fostering students’ cognitive activity is highlighted.
