Abstract
The article analyzes methodological approaches to designing the content of the textbook for the integrated course “I explore the world” (IEW) for students with intellectual disabilities. The specificity of selecting educational material, the features of its structural and logical organization, and its correctional and developmental potential are revealed. The necessity of adapting the content to the cognitive abilities of this category of students is substantiated in order to increase the effectiveness of their educational and cognitive activity.
