Abstract

The theses address the urgent issue of reforming and modernizing the education of persons with special educational needs in Ukraine, which is being implemented in accordance with democratic principles and is based on the biopsychosocial model of disability. The need to develop a unified correctional and developmental program (educational service) aimed at providing multidisciplinary, particularly speech and language therapy, support for students in their 1st–4th years of schooling with cognitive development disorders is emphasized. This category includes children with mild intellectual difficulties, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorders, and intellectual development disorders (MID, ADHD, ASD, IDD). The paper highlights the importance of systematizing and unifying approaches to delivering correctional and developmental services in accordance with the individual educational needs of learners.
