Abstract

The theses substantiate that the concept of hardiness is closely connected with maintaining mental and physical health in stressful situations, overcoming difficulties, social support, and productive activity. Hardiness is considered an integral personal characteristic of a child with SEN, serving as their personal resource that mediates the influence of stressogenic factors on both somatic and mental health. It is also responsible for the individual’s success in coping with life difficulties, since hardiness implies psychological “survivability” and enhanced effectiveness.
