Abstract

The article reveals the life, scientific and pedagogical path of the famous scientist-typhlopedagogue Oleksandr Moiseyovich Shcherbyna. He was born March 1, 1874 in the city of Pryluky, Chernihiv province. He was died January 7, 1934 in Kyiv. His contribution to modern world typhlopedagogy is revealed. Attention is focused on the scientific achievements of the scientist. Considerations are expressed regarding the future of modern special education.
