Abstract
. The article examines the current aspects of developing digital competence among scientific and academic staff in the context of the digitalization of education and science. The necessity of implementing digital technologies in scientific, pedagogical, and communicative activities is substantiated as a key factor in enhancing professional efficiency and facilitating integration into the global academic and educational environment. The works of domestic and foreign researchers are analyzed regarding the use of social and academic networks (ResearchGate, Academia.edu, Google Scholar, ORCID, LinkedIn, X, etc.) in the process of forming digital literacy and evaluating the effectiveness of scientific activities. An original methodology for the development of digital competence has been developed, which includes four interrelated components: the target, content, technological, and diagnostic-resultative blocks. Each of these components is aimed at the gradual formation of the ability to effectively use digital resources in professional activities. The target block is based on national and European standards, taking into account the needs of researchers and the modern challenges of digitalization. The content block details the structure of digital competence through key areas of activity — educational, scientific, methodological, and organizational. The technological block involves the use of modern learning management systems, cloud services, and interactive platforms that ensure the flexibility and practical orientation of the educational process. The diagnostic-resultative block defines the levels of digital competence formation and methods for its assessment. Special attention is paid to recommendations for the development of digital literacy, including mastering the principles of information security, the active use of academic and social networks for scientific communication, and the application of information management and research analytics tools. The importance of continuous professional development is emphasized through participation in trainings, courses, and webinars aimed at improving digital skills. The research results demonstrate that a systematic approach to the development of digital competence enhances the quality of scientific and pedagogical work, expands international cooperation, fosters a culture of professional digital interaction, and promotes the integration of Ukrainian researchers into the global educational and scientific space.
