Abstract

The article reveals the life and scientific and pedagogical path of Vira Hryhorivna Shtepura, a philologist, teacher-innovator of Derzhanivka Secondary School in Nosivka district, Chernihiv region (born in 1923 in Nosivka - died in 2018 in Derzhanivka village). The article reveals the history of the establishment and development of the educational institution. Attention is focused on the creative achievements of the teaching staff, on the figures of graduates of the author's native school. Among them are Honored Journalist of Ukraine M. Budliansky and writer V. Bozhok. The author expresses his thoughts on the future of modern rural education.
