Abstract
The monograph presents a competency-based approach to student education in the context of the implementation of the "New Ukrainian School" concept, scientific achievements in the theory and practice of labor and vocational training of schoolchildren with intellectual disabilities; highlights the author's concept and methodological system of labor training based on the conducted experimental research; substantiates and tests the methodology for forming labor competence of schoolchildren with intellectual disabilities, determines the organizational and pedagogical conditions for implementing and introducing into the educational system an integrative model of labor training, adherence to which ensures correctional and rehabilitation support, training and personal development of students. The sections of the monograph present the results of an experimental study that provide a holistic vision of the implementation of the content of the educational field "Technology" and the educational subject "Labor Training", presented in the Standard Educational Programs for Teaching Children with Intellectual Disabilities. Also highlighted are the features of the variable content of model vocational curricula in grades 5-10 for students with intellectual disabilities; the specifics of correctional and developmental work, which covers the cognitive, sensorimotor, speech and personal spheres of student development. The monograph is addressed to teachers, psychologists, teachers, students, IRC consultants; parents of children with intellectual disabilities, and all interested users.
