Abstract

The practical guide highlights the methodological foundations of psychological support for parents of children with special educational needs (SEN). It presents scientific approaches to developing resilience among parents raising children with SEN and explores the specific features of resilience formation in parents of children with psychophysical developmental disorders. The publication addresses current issues of psychoeducational work conducted by psychologists with parents and places significant emphasis on overcoming emotional burnout among parents of children with SEN. It also reveals the peculiarities of applying mindfulness techniques in parent–child interaction. The guide offers a range of practical materials, including psychological, art therapy, and psychotherapeutic techniques, as well as an author’s resilience training program and a set of resource cards. The manual is intended for professionals in the field of special pedagogy and psychology, employees of inclusive resource centers, university lecturers and students specializing in special education, parents of children with special educational needs, and a broad readership interested in psychological support and family resilience.
