Abstract
The handbook systematically outlines the regulatory and methodological foundations for integrating AI technologies into the professional development of educators. Drawing on an analysis of AI regulatory principles in the United Kingdom and pathways for their implementation in Ukraine, it substantiates the ethical, legal, and organizational requirements for the safe and human-centered use of these technologies in education. It explores the phenomenon of collective intelligence amid the convergence of simulation systems and AI as a resource for communities of practice and research-oriented learning. The book justifies a model of an open educational environment with AI elements that integrates policy, infrastructure, content, and services to support teachers. It presents the methodological foundations of pedagogical design within the KOMSDN framework, scenarios for transforming mathematics instruction, varied approaches to modeling creative processes in the natural and mathematical sciences, and practical tools for selecting and using generative AI services. Separate sections are devoted to methods for working with the Aixploria catalog, the OpenArt service, and the generation of images and presentations (including multimedia) for educational and scientific tasks, as well as recommendations on the use of Google Cloud AI services. The handbook develops and substantiates a methodology for using an open educational environment with AI elements to upskill teachers, based on the integration of personalized learning, learning analytics, the use of generative AI for creating instructional materials, and project-based activities. It offers recommendations for the design and implementation of such environments in educational institutions aimed at building an adaptive, open, and innovative educational space that fosters the development of teachers’ digital and pedagogical competence. The handbook is intended for teaching, research, and academic staff, as well as students and graduate students of institutions of teacher education who seek a methodologically grounded integration of AI into professional development and the learning process.
