Abstract
The modern system of professional pre-higher education operates in conditions of deep social, economic and technological transformations, which necessitates a rethinking of approaches to training specialists and ensuring the quality of the educational process. The defining guideline for these changes is the competency-based approach, which involves not only the assimilation of theoretical knowledge by applicants for professional pre-higher education, but also the formation of the ability to apply it in professional activities. In the context of the implementation of state standards for professional pre-higher education, the need for systematic methodological support of educational activities is becoming more urgent, which involves updating the content of professional training, developing modern assessment tools, improving the quality of methodological support, as well as developing the professional competence of teaching staff. In particular, the task of implementing clear and transparent procedures for assessing the learning outcomes of education seekers, based on the principles of a competency-based approach that meets European guidelines, comes to the fore.
