Abstract

The aim of the study is to investigate the main areas of application of multimedia technologies in the system of higher education and research, to outline their advantages, challenges and prospects for development. A comparison of traditional and multimedia teaching methods is made. The application of artificial intelligence in multimedia technologies in the system of higher education and research, as well as its impact on multimedia is considered. The main directions, advantages, challenges and risks of applying artificial intelligence in multimedia technologies are highlighted.
