Abstract
The article reveals the theoretical and practical foundations for preparing future teachers of higher pedagogical education institutions for professional activity in the context of the digitalization of society. The relevance of the study is driven by the need to transform the content of pedagogical education in response to the challenges of the digital era, especially during the wartime and post-war periods. A model for training future teachers of higher pedagogical education institutions for professional activity in the context of the digitalization of society is substantiated, which includes conceptual-target, content, technological-methodological, organizational-activity, and result-oriented components. The system of professional-digital competencies is defined as a strategic guideline for training lecturers capable of effective functioning in a digital educational environment. Within the scope of the study, a concept for updating educational content was developed, based on the principles of cultural dominance of Ukrainian-centeredness, strategic fundamentality, and the integration of humanitarian, psycho-pedagogical, and digital content. The model’s effectiveness was experimentally validated by assessing the level of digital competence formation in future lecturers at various stages of the pedagogical experiment. The results demonstrated positive dynamics: the digital competence coefficient increased from 0.59 to 0.62. The article includes a justification of the target program for the formation of professional-digital competencies and identifies its essential characteristics, namely: integrity, compliance with the national-cultural paradigm, orientation towards self-development, qualitative completeness of goals, and emergent properties. The results of expert evaluation of the model’s effectiveness, based on relevant criteria, confirm its scientific and practical significance for the development of contemporary pedagogical education in Ukraine.
