Abstract

Volunteering in Ukraine directs its efforts and skills toward achieving victory as quickly as possible. The source of volunteer activity lies in the desire to help those who find themselves in difficult life circumstances. At the same time, the very understanding of living in a free and independent state serves as the main leitmotif of such activity. A volunteer who remains with their people usually stays with them until the victorious end – embodying a patriotic spirit. They possess a stable perception of themselves and others within sociocultural relations (the cultural dimension of meaning). They have a clear understanding and differentiation between the meaning of non-being and the meaning of being in the history of their country, which motivates self-actualization and self-realization. They are capable of making life decisions and achieving self-determination.
