Abstract
The article is devoted to the development of a methodology for developing the digital competence of scientific and scientific-pedagogical staff using the Scilit scientific materials search system. The article discusses the concept and structure of digital competence in Ukraine, as well as the role of open educational and scientific information systems in scientific and pedagogical activities. The author's own methodology for developing digital competence using the multifunctional Scilit database is presented, the impact of using this system on the development of digital skills of scientific and scientific-pedagogical staff is analyzed, and how Scilit helps to find, analyze and use scientific materials with efficiency and accuracy is investigated. The author also analyzes the pedagogical potential of Scilit for improving the educational process and research, which opens up new opportunities for developing the digital competence of scientific and scientific-pedagogical staff using this system. The authors of the article have developed a special course «Development of digital competence of scientific and scientific-pedagogical staff using the Scilit scientific materials search system» to improve the digital literacy of researchers and teachers of higher education institutions using the Scilit system. The special course consists of two modules: 1. Theoretical module – the basics of digital competence and methods of its formation. 2. Practical module – working with the Scilit database (search, analysis and use of scientific materials). The article presents a scheme of methods for developing the digital competence of scientific and scientific-pedagogical staff using Scilit, which is a theoretically grounded system of methods, ways, forms and techniques of teaching aimed at developing digital skills in working with scientific publications. The predicted result is an increase in the level of development of digital competence of scientific and scientific-pedagogical staff through the use of the Scilit scientific search engine, which will contribute to their competitiveness in the global scientific environment and the integration of Ukrainian science into the global academic space.
