Abstract

The principles of social and institutional transformation of higher education are reviewed, and their humanistic nature is determined. It is noted that today's university acts not simply as a center of knowledge production, but as a factor in creating a knowledge society. It is concluded that from the point of view of institutional transformation of higher education, deformization and decentralization are the vectors of development of universities based on humanistic values.
