Abstract

The theoretical principles of self-management of future masters-pedagogues and andragogues in the context of their media literacy formation are substantiated; the role of self-management in the formation of media literacy as a component of the professional and creative development of the personality of a modern teacher and andragogue is revealed. The methodological aspects of the formation of media literacy of education seekers are highlighted; the conceptual principles of training future masters-pedagogues and andragogists for the use of self-management technologies are outlined; the features of self-management as a means of professional and creative development of the individual are characterized. It is noted that in the information society, media literacy is an important competence for workers in any field, especially for education workers. Attention is focused on the fact that the media gradually become a source not only of new information, but also examples of social behavior, examples of interpersonal communication, etc. This affects the development and self-development of the individual, his socialization at different age stages, as information from the media penetrates the consciousness of the individual, forming it. It is emphasized that the components of self-management in the context of self-education of adults can be considered such as: setting goals in professional activity; development of an action plan to achieve these goals and effective organization of one's time; adequate distribution of it between various tasks; prompt and confident decision-making in difficult situations; self-control, monitoring of the results of one's activities; making corrections in one's own actions in time in order to eliminate shortcomings in work; professional and creative development of the individual and continuous self-improvement. It is noted that time management skills help to filter information noise and focus on really important tasks; knowledge of media literacy contributes to the optimal choice of tools for study and work, in particular programs for planning, applications for concentration, etc.; thanks to the combination of these two areas, students of education develop digital literacy, which is a necessary condition for successful professional activity in the modern world.
