Abstract
The purpose of teaching the Ukrainian language is to develop the personality of the student through the means of the subject, namely: - knowledge of the language as a holistic system that ensures human development (thinking, knowledge of the world, communication, self-expression and self-improvement, emotional world, etc.) and the functioning of society; - formation of a competent speaker, a bearer of spirituality, culture and traditions of the Ukrainian people. We realize the goal by fulfilling the following tasks: fostering a value-based attitude towards the Ukrainian language as the state language; revealing the potential possibilities of the language for the life and activity of a person and society; fostering the need to learn about linguistic diversity (phonetic, lexical, phraseological, grammatical) and actively use it, improving the culture of oral and written speech; forming a linguistic sense, awareness of the aesthetic and cultural value of language; assimilation of knowledge, formation of skills and abilities necessary for effective communication. The content component of the program is divided into blocks: subject, metasubject and competence. An important task in teaching the Ukrainian language today is to go beyond the academic nature of the course, that is, to change the students' perception of the language, to realize that the language is not only a complex system, but also a living organism, a centuries-old bearer of wisdom, a keeper of the unique Ukrainian culture, a reliable tool of knowledge and understanding, an effective means of self-expression, a source of aesthetic pleasure. Its lexical and phraseological units fix the norms and rules of harmonious communication, active use of the language guarantees the prosperity of the state and the preservation of its borders. The program is designed to change the attitude towards language as a social phenomenon and a school subject, to educate a new generation of competent native speakers with a developed linguistic sense, linguistic tastes and linguistic stability.
