Abstract

The review was prepared to fulfil the tasks of the planned scientific research ‘Information and Analytical Support for the Digital Transformation of Education and Pedagogy: Domestic and Foreign Experience’, which is being carried out by the Department of Scientific Information and Analytical Support of Education of the V. Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Educational Library of Ukraine in 2023-2025. The section summarises the results of research in the field of inclusive education, namely, the training of pedagogical staff to work in an inclusive educational environment. The focus is on theoretical and practical, methodological and methodological aspects, new approaches to the professional and pedagogical training of specialists (educators, teachers, lecturers) to work in an inclusive environment, their readiness to work in an inclusive educational environment. Attention is paid to the development of an inclusive culture of teachers as an important prerequisite for creating a barrier-free educational environment. The analysis covers the means of forming such a culture through pedagogical reflection, individual educational trajectory, educational work, adapted methods, active involvement in social design, and communication with specialists in various fields. The emphasis is on the development, formation and improvement of inclusive competence as a result of professional teacher training and as an integrative professional quality that combines knowledge, skills, values and personal readiness for effective interaction with children with special educational needs, as well as in the context of implementing the National Strategy for the Development of Inclusive Education for the period up to 2029 (Order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 527-r of 7 June 2024).
