Abstract

The article describes the theoretical basis of the model curriculum authored by O. Myakushko and O. Kozhanovska for the integrated course "Health, safety and well-being" for grades 5-10 of special institutions of general secondary education for children with intellectual disabilities, namely: basic ideas (holistic model of health, M. Furlong's model of mental health of children and young people, understanding of well-being as a quality of life), direction and main tasks of the course, structure of the content of the model program.
