Abstract

An arithmetic expression interpreter is a valuable tool for processing and calculating mathematical expressions. Unlike a calculator, which is usually a ready-made device or program with a user interface for performing basic operations such as addition and subtraction by entering numbers and operators via buttons, an arithmetic expression interpreter is designed to analyse and process complex mathematical expressions in text form. This research project aims to conduct a thorough analysis of the technologies involved in developing an arithmetic expression interpreter, and to develop one using object-oriented programming technology.
