Abstract

The selection of methods to achieve the necessary level of AI development depends on pre-formulated goals and objectives, taking into account moral and ethical standards of behaviour, without allowing situations to arise that deviate from norms acceptable in the context of human values, which will affect the level of trust. Care must be taken when it comes to the accumulation, processing and storage of student data. Intellectual analysis of such data includes the development of e-learning systems, pedagogical support and forecasting of student performance, monitoring of attention, emotions and memory of schoolchildren in order to improve the developed course and increase the effectiveness of the management of the educational process. The aim of the study is to evaluate the accuracy, completeness and speed of calculating mathematical expressions using general-purpose and special-purpose AI tools by mathematics teachers in the process of research-based teaching of mathematics subjects in the context of motivating students' educational and cognitive activities. The study analyses the feasibility of using AI tools designed to solve mathematical problems, offering users a variety of functions and opportunities for work in the classroom, and selects methods and techniques for research-based teaching of mathematics with the methodically motivated use of AI. The study used the MathGPTPro ChatGPT and MathCad systems. MathGPTPro is a neural network capable of solving a variety of mathematical problems, including those involving algebra, mathematical analysis, probability theory and topology. ChatGPT uses pre-selected syntax for entering mathematical formulas and expressions, and supports LaTeX to ensure that calculation results are displayed correctly. MathCad is used to verify the problem-solving process and refine the answers. This study considers the potential applications of neural networks in school mathematics lessons, including recognising and creating geometric figures, calculating their parameters, areas and perimeters, analysing data and identifying relevant patterns, creating practical and research-oriented tasks, generating mathematical problems on various topics and difficulty levels, and recognising handwritten text.
