Abstract

The possibilities of the Internet in reflecting the results of scientific activity are manifested in the form of: electronic publications posted on the Internet – a modern transformation of traditional paper scientific publications; websites of research institutions and organizations, libraries, including publishers; international scientometric databases that contain scientific works of scientists and scholars from around the world; and repositories of educational institutions. The author emphasizes that electronic scientific professional publications have some advantages over their printed counterparts, namely: a large audience; prompt preparation and distribution of publications; integration with the global scientific community; ease of searching for scientific information; new opportunities for cooperation on scientific projects; and reduction of publishing costs. The purpose of the article: to analyze and assess the current state and prospects of the popularity of the electronic scientific professional journal “Image of the Modern Pedagogue” among domestic professional publications in pedagogy and to show its representation in the Ukrainian information space. Methods of solving the problem: comparative analysis of the achievements of the electronic scientific professional journal “Image of the Modern Pedagogue” for 25 years of its existence, indexing of the publication, numerical indicators. Results. The origins and formation of the electronic scientific professional journal “Image of the Modern Pedagogue” are characterized, its achievements over 25 years of existence (1999–2024) are presented and the prospects for the development of the publication are considered. Conclusions. The general characteristics of the electronic scientific professional journal “Image of the Modern Pedagogue” provide a systematic theoretical and practical basis for research, introduction of innovative methods, and creation of a new tool for a researcher-teacher. The results of the assessment of the technological and scientific level of the e-journal can be useful for designers and developers of electronic publications in developing approaches and methods for creating electronic information resources.
