Abstract

The article traces the connection between the idea of humanism, democracy, and scientific rationality. Emphasizing the openness and human dimension of modern science, the author raises the issue of identifying its axiological foundations, focuses on the problem of transforming information into knowledge in the context of the use of information technologies, in particular, artificial intelligence (AI). In the author's opinion, the challenges to education from information technologies lead to the need to return to the classical ideal of an educated person. For university education, this means the deformation and democratization of the educational process and its reorientation to the cultivation of the personal and creative source in students and teachers.
