Abstract
The article highlights the main results of the scientific and scientific-organisational activities of the Ivan Ziaziun Institute of Pedagogical and Adult Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine for 2019-2023 and outlines the prospects for its development. It is emphasised that the Institute's activities are aimed at cooperation with the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and Innovation, the Directorate of Professional Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the State Education Quality Service of Ukraine, higher education institutions of Ukraine, and public organisations with a view to highlighting, disseminating and practically using the results of scientific research. The article notes that the scientific and organisational activities in the reporting period were carried out at the Institute at three levels: international, intersectoral and institutional. The content of activities at all levels is visualized in 5 areas: scientific and organisational (preparation of draft laws and their examination, cooperation with scientific institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, branch academies of sciences of Ukraine, joint activities with scientific institutions of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, etc.); scientific and methodological (coordination of the activities of the association of partner institutions ‘Pedagogical Synergy’, provision of advisory assistance on improving the content of education as experts, members of working groups of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, substantiation of concepts, trends, models, etc. );experimental (interaction with educational institutions, institutions, organisations on the basis of which experimental work was carried out); international (scientific cooperation with foreign research institutions, international organisations and higher education institutions in Europe); scientific and educational (expansion of pedagogical partnership, educational and awareness-raising activities on the problems of national identity of society and the individual, formation of Ukraine-centric values in different categories of the population). In addition, the activities of the Institute in certain areas are specified. In particular, the cooperation of the Institute with the State Education Quality Service of Ukraine is presented; the initiated cooperation with higher military educational institutions is described. Special attention is paid to the activities of the Institute under martial law. The publishing and project activities of the Institute are presented. The author outlines 5 strategic directions for the further development of the Ivan Ziaziun Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of NAES of Ukraine as follows: focusing on the formation of new approaches to organising partnerships in the national and foreign scientific space in conditions of instability and uncertainty; preparation of draft legislative and regulatory acts on the problems of teacher education and adult education; expanding cooperation with ministries, departments, territorial communities on education, lifelong learning, as well as developing cooperation with international organisations; launching new practice-oriented research areas on the problems of pedeutology, andragogy; deepening networking of the Institute with postgraduate education institutions; public organisations, adult education centres.
