Abstract

The article presents information on the content and results of career guidance activities organised by the Laboratory for Education of Readiness for the Labour Market of the Institute of Problems on Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine. These events include a roundtable discussion ‘Value-based professional self-determination and career development of students of general secondary education institutions in the context of martial law and post-war reconstruction of the country’, a webinar ‘The problem of career guidance support for students in the context of the New Ukrainian School’, a meeting with students ‘The impact of martial law on the career development of students’, and an interview ‘Innovative experience of the career guidance centre’. The most significant results of the events include a summary of the key problems of modern career guidance; outlining proposals for improving career guidance support for the process of professional and career development of students; identifying promising areas of career guidance work with students under martial law; updating the tasks of career guidance support for students in the context of the New Ukrainian School; outlining the conditions for increasing motivation for the professional and career development of students; identifying effective forms of career guidance work with students under martial law.
