Abstract
Training of highly qualified specialists is an important area of activity of the Mykola Yarmachenko Institute of Special Pedagogy and Psychology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The institute's educational programs include elective disciplines that provide applicants with the opportunity to choose the most relevant courses for their research and contribute to an in-depth study of research problems. The course presented in the article aims to develop professional competencies, interdisciplinary knowledge, skills, and abilities that can help future higher education teachers and researchers develop early intervention technologies in working with children with hearing impairments and their families. The purpose of the article: to present the main aspects of the curriculum for training specialists of the highest qualification level «Early intervention service for children with hearing impairments and their families». The main methods are: theoretical analysis of literary sources on the problem of early intervention; analysis of regulatory documents, materials from the official websites of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, early care centers; generalization of practical experience in teaching and correctional and developmental work with children with hearing impairments of early age. The training course reveals the essence of the service, basic approaches and principles, features of organizing early intervention for children with hearing impairments and their families, the content and stages of implementing early care, the conditions for the effectiveness of its application; models of organizing early intervention centers are outlined.
