Abstract

The article explores the use of immersive technologies (ImT), particularly virtual (VR) and augmented reality (AR), for developing students’ emotional intelligence. Given the rapid advancement of digital technologies, integrating VR/AR into the educational process enhances students’ emotional engagement, empathy, and communication skills. The author analyzes the key components of emotional intelligence (self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, social skills) and the possibilities for their development through interactive learning environments. The application of VR/AR enables the creation of realistic educational scenarios that simulate real-life situations and help students recognize and regulate their emotions. The study highlights that immersive technologies can be used to model conflict situations, train emotional self-control, and develop social interaction skills. The article presents an original technology for using immersive technologies to develop students' emotional intelligence, which includes a step-by-step implementation process: needs analysis, content development, technical implementation, integration, and effectiveness evaluation. The technology envisages the development of emotional intelligence through the creation of interactive learning environments that allow students to experience various emotional states, analyze their reactions, and improve interaction skills. A differentiated approach based on students' age is proposed: AR books and interactive tasks for primary school, AR social interaction scenarios for middle school, and VR case studies for emotional resilience and leadership skills in high school. The results of the study highlight that immersive technologies can serve as a powerful tool for developing emotional intelligence in modern education by creating an interactive learning environment that allows students to experience different emotional states, analyze their reactions, and improve interaction skills. The use of immersive technologies can increase students' emotional literacy, foster empathy, encourage self-reflection, and improve communication skills.
