Abstract
Relevance of the research lies in identifying the potential of patriotism as a set of developed spiritual and moral qualities, cognitive and practical skills in the context of digitalization of society, education, and war. The purpose of the article is to define the patriotic component of the value–worldview strategy in the Concept of Digital Media Education and outline ways to optimize it within cyberspace. Methodological foundations. The study is conducted within the framework of digital humanism, particularly emphasizing such spiritual and moral principles as the preservation of human-centeredness in countering the dehumanization caused by war; the principle of human rights to freedom of expression; and moral responsibility for one’s actions in cyberspace. The research also relies on the Concept of Digital Media Education for Wartime and Postwar Society and the media psychological model of patriotic digital behavior strategies. Research results. The article reviews theoretical and methodological developments in the value–worldview context and the philosophy of digital humanism. The media psychological model of patriotic user activity in cyberspace is clarified. The essence of patriotic activity strategies under conditions of social digitalization and information warfare is expanded. Tactical components of these strategies, along with the corresponding mental-cognitive and practical skills, are outlined. Practical implications of the study lie in optimizing patriotic education and, in particular, fostering the development of adequate forms of patriotic digital behavior among youth in cyberspace.
