Abstract

The article explores the role of military psychologists in the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the Russian-Ukrainian war (2014–2024). It examines the evolution of this profession and its significance in maintaining the mental health of servicemen, supporting their morale, and facilitating the rehabilitation of veterans. Special attention is paid to the patriotic and ideological functions of military psychologists, their contribution to strengthening Ukrainian identity, honoring historical memory, and fostering national consciousness. The article highlights the relevance of international cooperation, particularly Israel’s experience, and emphasizes Ukraine’s integration into the global military psychology domain. It underscores the importance of upholding national symbols and state-building traditions in both wartime and the post-war period.
