Abstract

The war in our country has significantly increased the prevalence of adjustment disorders, including among children. This is understandable, as the traumatic events of war, which are highly stressful, trigger adjustment disorders in almost everyone who experiences them. One of the most dangerous consequences of stress-related traumatic experiences is post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It is worth noting that compared to other adjustment disorders (such as anxiety disorders or depression), PTSD can follow a person throughout their entire life, impairing their psycho-emotional state even many years after the traumatic event. For children, this disorder poses a particular threat, as it can severely disrupt their psychological development. Therefore, under martial law conditions, an essential task of psychological support in education is psychodiagnostics aimed at identifying individuals or groups at increased risk of developing PTSD and other related disorders.
