Abstract
The policies of the EU countries and Ukraine are focused on the introduction of digital technologies into the educational process, in particular artificial intelligence (AI) tools. The growing popularity of AI in education involves considering a number of issues, such as understanding the role of humans and machines in education, the relationship between pedagogical innovations and the level of technical awareness of teachers and students, ethical issues related to data ethics, information and academic integrity. Technical progress in the field of generative AI technologies has led to the emergence of various tools, including ChatGPT. Its advanced natural language processing capabilities and the ability to generate coherent responses and perform various language tasks make it a universal assistant for foreign language teachers, providing support in various aspects of language training.
