Abstract
Personalised learning using artificial intelligence (AI) determines the creation of a unique learning experience for each student, considering his interests, needs, learning style and level of knowledge. AI allows educational technologies and resources to be flexible and adapted to the needs and requests of teachers and students. The use of AI will effectively introduce innovative technologies into the educational process, to implement personalised learning. The article's content reveals key aspects of the challenges and obstacles to implementing personalised learning using AI, based on a survey of 97 higher education teachers of various specialities. The main conclusions relate to the challenges and obstacles and the determination of motivational levers for higher education teachers to implement AI for personalised learning: the lack of educational policies of institutions on the use of AI and their administrative support, the lack of sufficient funding, technological infrastructure, teacher training and their fear of using AI, ethical and legal issues of using AI. Among the areas for implementing personalised learning to use AI, the following were identified: individual curricula, adaptive learning content, personalised feedback, interactive learning using AI, analytics using AI, personalised learning paths to career goals, and analytics based on big data processing. The results of statistical processing revealed that most respondents have significant teaching experience, but the use of AI is not yet very widespread, only 40.2% of teachers gave detailed answers about the use of these technologies in professional activities in various areas of implementing personalised learning. Cluster analysis of respondents' open-ended answers showed that teachers of higher education institutions have different levels of readiness to use AI, which largely depends on their experience, motivation, and training, but are ready to improve their skills on this issue.
