Abstract

The article deals with the psychological characteristics of military families raising children with special educational needs. In particular, the impact of family problems caused by the specifics of military service on the emotional state of children and parents is analysed. Special attention is paid to the role of stress caused by military operations and its impact on family dynamics and children's adaptation. The issues of guardianship and overprotection and their consequences for the psychoemotional development of the child are explored. Emphasis is placed on the parenting styles inherent in military personnel and their impact on the formation of a child's personal traits. The article analyses the determinants of the development of children with special educational needs in such families, in particular the role of emotional stability, social support and individual approach. The ways of overcoming the problems that arise in the process of upbringing in order to create favourable conditions for the child's development and support the psychological well-being of the family are considered. The importance of interpersonal interaction within the family, in particular the level of mutual understanding between parents and children, as well as the influence of the emotional atmosphere in the family on the formation of adaptive mechanisms in the child, is emphasised. Attention is also focused on the importance of communication between spouses and its impact on the coherence of educational approaches. The importance of psychological literacy of parents to reduce the level of tension in the family and ensure the harmonious development of the child is emphasised.
