Abstract

The working program of the academic discipline "Fundamentals of Media Literacy" is designed for master's level students and represents a comprehensive course aimed at forming media competence in the conditions of modern information society. The course aims to develop students' system of knowledge and practical skills for critical analysis of media content, deep understanding of the functioning of modern media space, and effective interaction with the information environment. The program covers a wide range of theoretical and practical aspects of media literacy, including the theoretical foundations of media education, the structure and features of the modern media space, methods of fact-checking and information verification, techniques for identifying manipulative technologies, principles of creating quality media content, ensuring media security and digital hygiene, as well as the peculiarities of interaction with artificial intelligence in the media sphere.
