Abstract
The purpose of the article is to consider the content of computer science education in the 7th-9th grades of general secondary education institutions. The content of the informatics course significantly affects the formation of positive learning motivation. This is connected both with society's requests to educational systems, with the development of the technologies themselves and their software support, with reliance on life experience, and with the peculiarities of the educational and cognitive activities of students. It is indicated that the requirements for the content of computer science education in grades 7-9 are focused on the need to consider questions about the goals and objectives of education defined by the State Standard of Basic Secondary Education. The article considers the purpose of the informatics course, which is achieved by solving tasks related to the implementation of the mandatory learning outcomes of the informatics educational field, as well as the tasks of teaching informatics in grades 7-9 of general secondary education institutions. It is indicated that the content of the basic course "Informatics" in grades 7-9 is determined by the following content lines: information processes and systems; computer networks; information technologies; modeling; algorithmization and programming. It should be noted that four components are distinguished in the content of informatics education: theoretical informatics, means of informatization, information technologies, social informatics. The study of informatics in grades 7-9 can be carried out according to any model program that has passed the appropriate examination procedure. A mandatory condition for studying informatics in grades 7-9 is the constant use of computer technology and various digital devices in lessons, with the aim of forming the activity component of educational competence. Based on the above, we analyzed some model computer science curricula in grades 7-9 of general secondary education institutions, which are used by educational institutions in the educational process.
