Abstract
In light of the intensifying competition in the market of educational services, educational libraries are confronted with novel challenges. The evolving characteristics of the educational environment, coupled with the accelerated pace of technological advancement, necessitate a more proactive approach to collaboration. This collaboration can manifest in various forms, including the exchange of expertise, joint initiatives, and the integration of information technologies. The article examines the adaptation of libraries to new conditions in the digital era, the distinctive features of innovative activities in educational libraries, and the integration of electronic resources into the library environment. This signifies the implementation of contemporary technologies, diversification of electronic resources, enhancement of search engines, provision of online services and other innovations that facilitate convenient and efficient access to information for users, while simultaneously enabling libraries to retain their relevance and competitiveness in the digital age. It has been demonstrated that information technologies assist libraries in enhancing user service, facilitating rapid and convenient access to resources, and promoting distance learning and research. Electronic catalogues facilitate the expedient identification of desired materials, while databases provide access to current information and online resources enhance research and learning opportunities. This contributes to the advancement of user service and the development of the library industry as a whole. It has been demonstrated that a significant element of the function of educational libraries is the professional advancement of library personnel. Specialists have to be ready to utilize novel technologies and methodologies that will facilitate the delivery of enhanced user services. Furthermore, libraries will be well-positioned to collaborate with IT companies in the creation and implementation of innovative solutions. It has been proven that the active interaction of libraries with educational institutions and other organizations is an effective strategy for enabling them to adapt to changes and to become centers of information support for educators. By sharing resources, educational materials, and innovations, libraries can become important partners for educators in identifying and providing access to relevant information, thereby facilitating the development of more competitive educational programmes. This will contribute to improving the quality of education and the development of participants in the educational process.
