Abstract
With changes in socio-economic, educational, virtual, and other environments, reading (microreading) can and does support not only the personal development of students, but also comprehensively forms educational diplomacy in secondary education institutions. Microreading activates pupils' attention, gives them the opportunity to better absorb educational material, promotes the development of emotional intelligence as an important factor in emotional and ideological enrichment, the formation of critical thinking and conscious consumption of intercultural information. Microreading is important in the process of designing and implementing the content of teaching the Ukrainian language in grades 7–9, as it has significant didactic and methodological potential and is suitable for use as a means of learning, upbringing and development, involving both psycho-emotional aspects of the personality and special capabilities of pedagogical technologies that correspond to the age characteristics of pupils.
