Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the resourcefulness of marital relations of army men based on Mooli Lahad’s model “BASIC Ph”. It has been proved that the resource channels of “BASIC Ph” are actualized by the frontline situation and are regulated by the experience of interaction of a married couple. The “belief” and “physical” resource channels accompany the increase in the mutual interest of partners and grow with the duration (more than a year) and deterioration of the conditions of the military’s stay at the front. It is established that “belief” is a resource of long-term relationships and openness of partnership interaction. It is proved that amidst the front conditions, the activation of “socialization” and “cognition” resources follows the revision of “long-distance marital relations” by expanding contacts and refuting the cognitive function with the growth of partner distance. The resource “imagination” introduces an intriguing aspect to couple relationships and is combined with a long marital life, and the “affect” resource records the priority choice of a partner and a selective attitude towards its characteristics. The three-vector orientation of men’s marital relations under wartime is determined. The first one captures mutual understanding in couple relationships and includes such resource channels as “belief” and “physical activity”. The second indicates amorousness, which is associated with the short duration of both the couple’s existence and the man’s stay at the front. The third defines the processes of rejection and activates such resources as “socialization” and “imagination.” It is proved that the military’s assessment of their marital relationships as supportive has a nonlinear and dynamic character based on the categories of “imagination” and “affection”. The development of these resources is conditioned by the delicacy and regularity of keeping long-distance contacts, which support the resource basis for the longevity of couple relationships – “belief” and “physical activity”. Prospects for further research stem from the identified situational conditionality of the actualization of resource channels as indicators of the dynamics of marital interaction.
