Abstract

Purpose. The purpose of this article is to comprehensively study the prognostic aspect of the professional activities of vocational-theoretical training teachers in professional education institutions operating in the context of the digitalization of modern society. Special attention is given to analyzing the significance of forecasting as a key element in forming teachers' digital competence and its role in adapting the educational process to the challenges of modern technological development. The article addresses the sustainability of the educational process in crisis situations, such as pandemics and wartime, which require rapid adaptation and effective use of digital resources. Methods. The study employs literature analysis to systematize modern scientific approaches, a systems approach to identify interconnections between digital technologies and their impact on the educational process, and the forecasting method to assess the prospects for developing teachers' digital competencies and the future needs of the educational system. Results. The research reveals a close relationship between digital technologies, teaching methods, interactivity in learning, and assessment efficiency. The necessity of introducing innovative technologies to integrate digital tools into educational programs is emphasized. Challenges related to digitalization are also analyzed, including issues of resource accessibility, uneven digital literacy among teachers, and the need for continuous professional development. Conclusions. The research results aim to create scientifically based recommendations for vocational-theoretical training teachers, focusing on enhancing their digital competence. The importance of integrating the prognostic aspect into the educational process is highlighted to ensure its adaptability to modern conditions and improve the quality of professional training.
