Abstract

The manual is dedicated to the study of a new direction of domestic social work - recreation. The authors propose to consider the issue of spending free time and choosing forms of leisure, a healthy lifestyle and organization of public recreation not only from the standpoint of recreation (recreational geography, recreational medicine, etc.), but also from the point of view of social work. In various countries of the world, the ability of social workers to organize recreational activities and animation events is one of the components of their professional competence. This manual is the first edition that raises the issue of the recreational component in the field of social work in domestic science and practice. The publication is intended for teachers, social workers and social pedagogues, civil servants and representatives of public organizations. The guide may also be of interest to politicians on issues of formation and implementation of state social policy on the ground.
