Abstract

The curriculum of the course "Professional competence of the head of an educational institution" by free choice of applicants for the second (master's) level of higher education for the 2024/25 academic year determines the place of the academic discipline in the system of professional training of specialists. The work program contains the goal and objectives of studying the discipline, the role and significance of the discipline in ensuring that applicants for higher education master the system of necessary knowledge and skills. The program of the academic discipline contains the following topics. Scientific foundations of the formation and development of the professional competence of the head of an educational institution. General and professional competencies of the head of an educational institution. Models of managerial competence of the head of an educational institution. Formation of professional competence of heads of educational institutions. Technological aspects of implementing the managerial competence of the head of an educational institution. Leadership competence of the head as a new requirement for the competencies of Ukrainian schools. Motivational principles of managing an educational institution. Professional portfolio of the head of an educational institution and promotion of oneself as a brand. Self-management: tips for managing one's own resources. Topics and content of lectures and seminars are presented, as well as instructions for completing a creative task. Course duration – 120 hours, which corresponds to 4.0 ECTS credits.
