Abstract

This year, the scientific and educational community celebrates the 25th anniversary of V.Sukhomlynskyi State Scientific and Educational Library of Ukraine. And it all began on October 30, 1999, when the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, responding to the initiative and with the assistance of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, issued a corresponding resolution, which united two special pedagogical libraries - the scientific library of the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine and the Central Educational Library of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine. The founders of the State Scientific and Pedagogical Library were well-known Ukrainian academicians Vasyl Kremen, Oleksandra Savchenko, Olga Sukhomlynska, Mykola Yarmachenko, and others. Under the leadership of the first director of the library, Pavla Rogova, candidate of historical sciences, the library staff did a lot of work on organizing the fund and overhauling the premises. Since 2015. I have the honor to lead this unique institution: to continue traditions and introduce innovations to build Ukraine as a strong European democratic state.
