Abstract

This article explores the possibilities of using immersive technologies in blended learning to support inclusive education in general secondary education institutions (GSEIs). The advantages of using virtual, augmented and mixed reality technologies for students with special educational needs (SEN) are outlined. Examples and challenges of implementing these technologies, as well as prospects for their further development and support at the state level are considered. The article emphasizes the importance of immersive technologies for improving the effectiveness of teaching and integration of students with SEN into the general education process. In modern education, there is a need to ensure equal opportunities for all students, regardless of their physical, cognitive or social characteristics. Traditional teaching approaches are not always able to provide the necessary adaptation and inclusion for students with special educational needs. Immersive technologies, such as virtual and augmented reality, can contribute to more effective engagement and motivation of these students. It is emphasized that the introduction of immersive technologies in blended learning has great prospects for supporting inclusive education. Immersive technologies can contribute to the creation of individual learning trajectories, which allows students with SEN to develop in accordance with their capabilities and needs, while maintaining contact with the general education environment. Immersive technologies allow creating an adapted learning environment where students can learn at their own pace, without pressure and taking into account personal needs. The paper also discusses the challenges of implementing immersive technologies in general education. The main ones are the financial costs of equipment and software, the need to train teaching staff to use these technologies effectively, and the need to adapt teaching methods to ensure true inclusiveness. In addition, there are technical barriers related to the availability and quality of infrastructure. Thus, the problem is the need to develop and implement effective models for using immersive technologies in blended learning to ensure inclusive education in GSEIs.
