Abstract

The article examines the problem of using artificial intelligence systems as a tool for implementing the process of digitalization of education. International and domestic experience, theory and practice of using artificial intelligence systems by participants in the educational process are analysed. The results of domestic and foreign research on the use of artificial intelligence systems in the field of education are studied, and the effects of the use of artificial intelligence systems, in particular, their modern generation - systems of generative artificial intelligence, are highlighted. The regulatory framework for the introduction of artificial intelligence systems into the educational sector has been analysed. International approaches and general trends are highlighted, and the directions and prospects of using artificial intelligence systems to support education are described. Modern AI technologies, which are already partially used in education, include expert systems, chatbots, intelligent tutors, personalized learning systems, visualizations and virtual learning environments, and machine learning technologies. The main directions of using AI in education, the development of which contributes to the support of the educational industry are personalization of learning, use of intelligent assistant systems, learning analytics, automation of routine tasks, and innovative learning methods using artificial intelligence systems. The article aims to analyse the current state of application of artificial intelligence systems in education, highlight trends and outline the prospects for their use by participants in the educational process. The practical significance of the study lies in the provision of recommendations for the implementation of artificial intelligence systems in the field of education. Modern challenges regarding the use of artificial intelligence systems that the education system faces today are the problem of ethics, privacy and security, insufficient level of digital competence in the aspect of artificial intelligence, insufficient educational support (recommendations, methods, models, etc.) for the introduction of AI, which may be the subject of further pedagogical research.
